 
Denan was a member of the Uzumaki Clan. He had been able to activate the Rinnegan, he had died a few days after he had activated it. He was killed by the Kyuubi when it went on a rampage in the Hidden Leaf. His tombstone had said these words "Denan Uzumaki, he died too soon".
